This
bowl was turned in Rippled Ash by John Smith. This unusual rippled
characteristic is normally found in old park trees which have
sufficient space to grow in girth rather than in height. An even
mass of ripple figure running at right angles to the grain is
combined with a series of grey/brown streaks with a straw background
with the grain. This produces a 3 dimensional effect.
